A great opportunity for an interim Deputy Director of Children’s Social Care in a large, northern local authority. Can be an interim or a 12 month fixed term contract, and could lead to a permanent role when that process is determined. As the Deputy Director in a high performing Children’s Services department , while this role is ideal for a long term interim, or maybe someone looking to return to a permanent role, it could be even possibly a secondment from a national body such as Ofsted or DfE. Whilst it’s leading on Children’s social care, we don’t need a qualified social worker. We do want someone familiar with Children’s Services yes, but also a leader, able to shape and deliver evolutionary change whilst maintaining the highest quality services, all at scale.
